Arkay_plastics_world_aids_dayAs part of events to mark the World Aids Day, which falls on December 1, Arkay Plastics staff on Saturdaysensitised Blantyre residents to the disease.

The employees marched from their premises in Ginnery Corner to their Makata factory in Blantyre. Arkay human resources manager Amos Chirwa, who is also the chairperson for HIV and Aids Workplace Committee, challenged the employees to come up with ideas the company can adopt to improve the welfare of those affected by the pandemic.

“As a company, we put on Masm [Medical Aid Society of Malawi] those who declared their status and we give them nutritious starter packs monthly,” said Chirwa.
