If you don’t come to us, then we will follow you. That’s the message from Lilongwe-based entertainment joint Illusionz Club.

Just like they did last year, the entertainment platform made another foray in Blantyre over the weekend where they staged a three-day carnival dubbed Illusionz Intrusion at old People’s Trading Centre head office opposite BAT Ground.

From Friday, entertainment seekers in Blantyre were wowed by the Illusionz magic, courtesy of performances from some top DJs and musicians the country boasts of.

The venue was not the conventional type, but unused warehouse that one would not have imagined hosting an event of such colour.

Even the cold weather that prevailed in Blantyre on Friday and Saturday was not enough to deter fun seekers from patronising the event.

One by one, they joined the carnival and, ultimately, the arena was turned into a sea of people.

On Saturday, Illusionz Club director Martin Nyirenda got things going behind the deck.

For close to two hours, he played a selection of new and old school music, be it house, rap, hip hop or R n B.

His showing was a precursor of more things. First on stage was Charisma who added to the excitement that was already there.

Charisma dished out  popular songs such as Better Life which had his fans on their toes and singing along.

Afro-dance singer Saint was the next act. He was at his usual energetic best. He swung this way and that way. dishing out one song after another and the audience was wowed.

After his performance, the baton was passed back to the DJs. The likes of DJ Nathan Tunes ensured that the party was taken right into the early hours of yesterday.

Blantyre fun seekers felt the full pinch of the Illusionz Club magic.
