Bullets give want-away defender Lungu options
FCB Nyasa Bullets say they have given their want-away right-back Alick Lungu two options to either buy out his contract or inform the club that is interested in his services to engage the People’s Team.
In an interview yesterday, the club’s acting chief executive officer Albert Chigoga said should any of the two options fail, then the player will have to return to the club and see out his contract which expires in July.

The defender hogged the limelight earlier this week when he was sent back from training by coach Peter ‘Mjojo’ Mponda until he sorts out his future with the Team.
Apparently this was after his request to be released for free was rejected.
Commenting on the state of the player, Chigoga said: “We rejected his contract termination request on the premise that it lacked any just cause.
“Secondly, we gave him options to either buy out his contract or liaise with whoever wants him to engage us.
“If any of these fail, he should continue to carry out his contractual obligations.”
Neither the player nor his agent could be reached for comment yesterday.
On his part, Mponda justified his decision to send the player back, saying: “I do not think he is in the right state of mind until he sorts out the issue pertaining to his future with the club.
“The boy is currently torn between two worlds and as such, he cannot concentrate,” he said.
Lungu has been linked with a move to one of the top Zimbabwean clubs.
