“We have a role to play in supporting our communities. Developing sports is not for government alone. All of us can do something. It is our hope that once the games resume, the equipment will make a big difference to the club,” said Musukwa.

Geish play in the Northern Region Volleyball League (NRVL).

Their manager Daniel Wowa said they are grateful for the support, which he said will go a long way in motivating the players once the games resume.

“The donation is timely. We did not have uniform, a situation which was very demotivating to the players,” he said.

NRVL chairperson Kafumu Nkhoma appealed to the corporate world to emulate AIA Business Consultant’s gesture..

“Sport is one thing that keeps our youths busy. Individuals can support teams in a way they can afford. It does not need a lot of money to do that as displayed by AIA,” he said.
