CCAP cheers the needy in Zomba

Christians from Chinamwali CCAP in Zomba on New Years’ Day donated various items worth K400 000 to the elderly, orphans and other vulnerable children from surrounding communities.

The items included maize, clothes, shoes, eggs, soap, salt, orange squash and cash as capital for some to set-up small businesses.

Speaking after donating the items, Reverend Gracious Meki said the gifts aimed at fulfilling the command that Christ Jesus made in Matthews 25.

“Christians have a responsibility of caring for the needy since God cannot come down to physically assist them.
