Ndirande Kachere CCAP Church Saturday last week donated relief items to people affected by heavy rains in the township.

Speaking after the event, which took place at the church, moderator Reverend Enos Muhiwa said the church was touched by the plight of the community when heavy rains damaged their houses.

“After the devastation, most people sleep on empty stomachs and orphans as well as widows are neglected. Against this background, we mobilised resources from within the church to donate to our fellow members of Ndirande who are suffering,” said Muhiwa.

He said the congregation was learning from the early church when Christians shared the little they had and lived happily

“It is our prayer that God will help us achieve the goal,” he said.

Some of the items were clothes, soap, sugar, maize and roofing plastic papers.
