International liquor traders and nightclub franchise Chez Ntemba has made a stride in promoting fun at its drinking joints by partnering with a dancing group The Stepas formerly known as The Floor Steppers.
Chez Ntemba has provided space at its Area 47 bar where the group will be doing its practices. The bar was refurbished last year and has several internationally designed dance floors.
In an email, manager of the group Trevor Chikankheni confirmed the partnership and support from Chez Ntemba.
“It is true we are now working with Chez Ntemba and they have promised to sponsor us. At the moment they have provided us with a premise where we will be doing our practices and discussions. We are proud of them because this opportunity will help us practise more consistently and we will be able to monitor our growth,” he said, adding that the group will also be performing at the bar during special events.
Chikankheni said there is more the group is bringing to the audience this year. He said The Stepas are working hard on their brand and are training intensely, learning new dance styles in order to give the public something different.
“We are coming with more new dancing styles shortly and we will be touring the country. We are also hiring a new dance coach and we are promising our fans more in the next six months, “said Chikankheni.
The group mesmerised followers of E-Wallet competition last year when they participated in the competition. It also performed at the P-Square concert in Lilongwe on March 16.
