“We are more than ready. Our fans should expect fireworks from Black Missionaries and Anthony Makondetsa. It is going to be massive,” he said.

Speaking ahead of the show, 6th Lounge manager Marcus Mbidzi said the decision to bring the reggae band is part of the venue’s commitment to diversify entertainment and cater for all music lovers.

“We will continue to bring entertainment closer to the people as the place is within their localities. After hosting Afro-soul and urban music stars, now it is time for reggae music,” he said.

Mbidzi added that patrons should expect a nightlong of live reggae music, including hit songs from both Black Missionaries and Anthony Makondetsa.

The event follows a successful run where the venue has in the recent past brought music heavyweights such as Lawi, Praise Umali, Kell Kay and Zeze Kingston.
