Maria Cho was the champion in the ladies category, after counting out Regina Mwanza on 41 points.

Chilingulo thanked the sponsors for the tournament. He also thanked his playing partners for the conducive rapport.

“I am excited to have won today. I had a great game and enjoyed myself. I thank the sponsors for the wonderful prizes,” said Chilingulo who took home a four-plate cooker.

Speaking during prize presentation,  Nampak marketing manager Nyakhoko Nsona said the objective of the golf was to update their customers on the company’s rebranding.

“It has been 17 yeark2s since we have been sponsoring golf here at LGC. However, today is special since this is the first tournament in the country since rebranding and the place is Lilongwe Golf Club,” said Nsona whose firm donated K100 000 to LGC for the maintenance of the golf course.
