Christians observe Way of the Cross

Christians across the country yesterday took part in the Way of the Cross to commemorate the suffering of Jesus Christ as He was taken to Calvary for crucifixion.

In Lilongwe the prayers were conducted at the Botanic Gardens and focused on asking God for a revived Malawi.

Different ministers, in their prayers, asked God to bring back the Malawi that enjoys economic bounty and corrupt free systems.

President Lazarus Chakwera who graced the event, echoed the ministers’ prayer by adding that it is alright to ask God for a revival.

Said Chakwera, “The question we are asking God today is, are you not going to revive us? This question brings us close to God because it is giving us another bundle of life.”
