Civo United caretaker coach Oscar Kaunda maintained his unbeaten TNM Super League record when he thwarted Kamuzu Barracks’ title ambitions with a 1-0 beating on Sunday.

Kaunda had now gone three league games without a loss after Asedi Ajasi’s solitary goal handed KB their second Dedza Stadium home defeat.

On the other hand, the wheels seem to have fallen off KB as they are winless in three matches in all games.

KB dropped to fourth on 31 points whereas Civo remained 11th on 24 points, just two places away from the relegation zone.

Up the table, Blue Eagles wasted an opportunity to close the gap on leaders Red Lions when they lost 2-0 to yet another model of inconsistency Mafco on Sunday.

The Eagles have 34 points from 21 games, two points behind leaders Red Lions who have played 20 games.

Big Bullets occupy third place on 32 points from 20 matches.

Mzuzu United remain bottom on 11 points with Evirom placed 14th on 17 points. On individual honours, Ishmael Thindwa of Epac still tops on 11 goals.
