“We are continuing with our bottlestore tour in a quest to raise funds for the refurbishment of the paediatric ward at the hospital,” he said.

“More corporate institutions are showing interest to come in and help out,” said CO.

During the event, they will auction a round trip ticket to Cape Town, courtesy of South African Airways.

CO disclosed that he will be supported by Annemarrie Quinn and Waliko Makhala.

“The show will start at 7pm and will end at 10pm,” he said adding that patrons will pay K3 000 at the door.

According to information on www.gofundme.com/music-against-malaria one of the biggest challenges within the department is the inability to provide privacy and dignity to patients and their guardians.

“There is no space to assess adolescents separately, meaning sensitive conversations are observed and they have to undress publicly for their assessment. While the level of care offered is to an extremely high standard, there are sadly some children we cannot save,” says the website. n
