Dan Lu celebrates wife’s birthday with song

Afro-pop sensation Dan Lu on Friday released a new single titled Do Like I Do as a special dedication to his wife Caterina who celebrated her birthday on the day of release.

In an interview, Dan Lu said he recorded the song for his lady because she has made him a better man.

“Every day with Caterina is pure happiness. We get each other. I can see a bright future with her,” he said.

Disclosing how the two got to meet, Dan Lu said it was four years ago when he went to her boutique looking for an outfit.

“When I saw her I just knew I loved her. I deliberately asked her if I could pay through mobile money and she gave me her number. I later asked her out,” he said.

Dan Lu, who described his wife as shy, said he is glad that Caterina as well as music lovers are in love with his new song.

“Many are downloading the song, I am getting a lot of positive feedback and I am pleased,” he said.

Reacting to the new song Brenda Kamanga wrote on Facebook: “The song is so nice. I just downloaded it.”

The musician said his wife has agreed to appear in the song’s video.
