Member of Parliament for Dowa South East Halima Daudi, who is also Deputy Minister of Health, has said her football sponsorship is bearing fruits.
She was speaking when she relaunched her K1.5 million football constituency.
Daudi cited Super League players such as Blue Eagles’ Jab Msamala and Mphatso Banda of Mponela United as some of the players unearthed by her sponsorship.
“We are a football-loving nation and, these days, football is a way of earning a good living. What we are doing through the trophy is to identify and nurture talent for the national team and also to export. Government cannot do everything alone,” said Daudi.
Msamala, a midfielder, played for Roberts Madrid whereas Banda, a striker, played for LB Dynamos.
