Europe’s Bullet Models signs Mabel Khonje

Malawian model, Mabel Ameera Khonje has been signed by one of the top casting agencies in Europe, Bullet Models. 

The signing means the agency will be representing Khonje forclients seeking her services.

“Welcome at Bullet Models. Our casting director looked at your profile and from now on, you have been officially admitted to our database. This means that we will represent you at our clients and that they can find your setcard on our site,” reads a letter from the agency to Khonje. 

It further states: “When we receive an order that we think might fit you, we will immediately contact you but it is not unlikely that we call you next week for an assignment.”

So far, the agency, has listed Khonje as one of it models on its website www.bulletmodels.nl.

In an interview, an elated Khonje, currently based in Amsterdam, said she looks forward to working with the agency.

“I am so happy I have gotten this opportunity out of plenty of other deserving people,” she said.

But how did she land this opportunity?

“They usually scout for models during shows to do commercials. Since I do some freelance modelling, one of their officials spotted me and scouted me.

“I had to send my profile, among others, as they do not just sign models like that. You have to meet certain requirements; height, size, among others. So after analysing the profiles submitted, I got selected,” she said.

Bullet Models is a service oriented modelling and casting agency, specialised in commercials and advertising photography.

Khonje, who last year launched a lipstick label Doll Mabel, has been a model for some time and was crowned Miss Malawi second princess in 2003. n
