Five people have been reported dead and dozen others injured in a road accident that happened at Lunzu Tarding Centre in Blantyre.
According to an eyewitness who did not want to be named, the accident involved a lorry and a pick-up truck. 
“The lorry which was on a funeral procession to Lirangwe was involved in a head on collision with the pickup which had one of its tyres burst and swerved to the direction of the lorry,” she said.
She said among the dead, three were from the lorry while two were from the pick-up.
Police were still gathering information on the accident hence, could not comment by the time we published this article.
