Gogoda seeks redemption against TZ boxer
Super heavyweight boxer Alick Gogoda has promised local fans to knock-out Tanzanian boxer Nurudin Ibrahim in 12-round non-title fight at M1 Centre Point on Sunday.
The fight has been organised by Ngwenyama Boxing Promotions.

Gogoda, who has not fought for close to a year, said he wants to put up a great show on the day.
“I want to prove to Malawians that I am not a spent force despite staying a long time without a fighting. I am in great shape and I will prove that on Sunday. I have been training hard,” he said.
But the boxer said he was not underrating the Tanzanian, who has lost once in 16 fights, drew two and won 13.
Ngwenyama Boxing Promotions managing director Patrick Ngwenyama has promised fun for boxing lovers.
“Everyone knows that Gogoda is a great boxer and always serious in the ring. It’s a good match because Ibrahim is equally good. We just pray that the judges and referee will exercise professionalism so that the best boxer can win,” he said.
According to Ngwenyama, the Tanzanian boxer will arrive in the country today and weigh in will be on Saturday.
There will also be supporting bouts between Kudakwache Banda and Lameck Mkangama whereas Robert Kachiza will take on Yamikani Mkandiwire. n
