With 20 days to go before housemates enter into the Big Brother Africa house are announced, MultiChoice Malawi has said GOtv customers will not have an extra channel to follow BBA8, but will follow the show through one of the Africa Magic channels.
Chimwemwe Nyirenda, sales and marketing manager for MultiChoice Malawi, said this over the weekend when giving an update on the reality show.
“BBA Season 8 is on. Our customers on DStv will watch the show through the usual channel, but those on GOtv will be tuned through AfMagic channel. Anyone subscribed to AfMagic channels watches BBA and this applies to all Gotv customers in Malawi,” said Nyirenda.
On how many people will represent the country this year, Nyirenda says as usual the nation will know on May 26. He said his office is just waiting to hear from M-Net Africa on how many people it should send.
There is no word so far on who is representing Malawi at the show.
In Nigeria, speculation is rife that Tonto Diken and singer Iyanaya Mbuk aka Inyanya will join the celebrity house. However, Diken has declined being on the list through her Twitter page.
The season is expected to start on May 26, 2013 and the winner will walk away with $300 000 after 91 days in the house.
