JCE exams to proceed despite public holiday
Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education said on Sunday that Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) will continue administering the Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) today despite being a declared a public holiday.
The ministry’s Principal Secretary Rachel Chimbwete Phiri said in a statement that JCE examinations, which started last Monday, will proceed as planned.

Reads the statement in part: “The JCE examinations schedule remains unchanged; students and administrators are expected to report to their designated examination centres at the specified times.”
The 2025 Maneb JCE examinations schedule shows that today candidates will start with chemistry from 8am to 10am, then Chichewa Paper I from 11am to 12: 30pm before concluding with History from 2pm to 4pm.
