Kaliyati a goal shy of last season’s top scorer
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers attacker Isaac ‘Tcheya’ Kaliati is just a goal away from matching last season’s TNM Super League Golden Boot winner teammate Clement Nyondo.
This comes after he scored a goal in the Nomads’ 5-0 demolition of Mighty Tigers on Sunday at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
The winger is three goals ahead of his closest contenders Zeliat Nkhoma of Kamuzu Barracks FC and Creck Sporting Club’s George Chaomba.
Blessings Mwalilino of Karonga United, who has 11 goals, and Isaac Msiska of Mzuzu City Hammers who has 10, are the other players that have managed double digits.
Kaliati could not comment on his target yesterday, saying he is not comfortable talking to the media about his performance.
