Malawi’s 2011 Big Brother representative Lomwe is in Ghana attending the launch of a fashion accessories brand by his counterpart in the Big Brother Amplified season, Confidence Huagen.

Lomwe, real name Tendai Namate, arrived in Accra Ghana last week for the ‘Konfidence brand’ launch.

The event was rescheduled to this Sunday due to inconveniences beyond control.

“I am still busy setting myself up in my music career but right now am in Ghana. I got invited by Confidence to attend the launch of her own clothing label, there’s [also] Zimbabwe’s Vimbai, Nigerian duo of Vina and Karen; the eventual co-winner of Big Brother season 6, Ethiopia’s Hanni and Ghana’s Alex.

“While here, I will also promote my music, I have done a lot of TV and radio interviews and am also working on doing collaborations with Ghanaian musicians,” said Lomwe in an interview.

“On September 8, we [season big Brother representatives] had Amplified Party with the Big Brother Africa guests at the Aphrodisiac Night Club, which is owned by Confidence,” he added.

Ghanaian socialite and entrepreneur, Confidence, who has dazzled Ghanaians with her unique sense of style for years, hinted of a possible fashion line after her exit from Big Brother Amplified in 2011.

“With its delicate golden butterfly logo, the ‘Konfidence’ label was designed to add colour, class and sparkle to every woman’s wardrobe.

Like the butterfly, colourful and free spirited, the Label drew inspiration from the vibrant Ghanaian culture and scenic environment a cocktail of contemporary designs infused with Kente fabric and African print from Ghana.
