The Lawn Tennis Association of Malawi (LTAM) will on November 16 hold its annual general meeting (AGM) at Blantyre Sports Club (BSC) where, besides electing new office bearers, they will also review their constitution.

LTAM incumbent president Duncan Gumbi confirmed to The Nation yesterday that all executive positions—the president, the treasurer and the general secretary and their respective deputy seats—are up for grabs.

“All individuals interested in the executive positions are free to vie for the seats. The AGM will be held at BSC’s lower khonde from 2pm on November 16,” said Gumbi.

According to LTAM national coach Hackson Methiwa, individuals can present their nominations at the body’s offices at Sports Council in Blantyre by next Tuesday.

Methiwa said the gathering will also review their constitution, which he said is weak in some areas.

“Areas such as the two-year tenure and the national team and development programmes will be scrutinised if there is need for enhancement,” he said.
