Up-and-coming musician Made See under his new management of US-based stable Magic Fingers has rebranded to Med C.

His manager Tiwonge Mhango said the rebranding is part of their efforts to curb the proliferation of numerous parody social media accounts that are bearing the artist’s name.

Creating a new career path: Med C

He said: “The artist was not officially on social media and people took advantage of his absence to create fake pages. Now, we have embarked on rebuilding his brand with new content.

“Social media is becoming one of the big platforms to push both his music and brand. We thought we needed to open a new chapter altogether as part of rebranding him.”

Mhango also said they will not effect further changes to the brand but will continue to work on his positioning. He said all Med C’s official social media handles such as Instagram, Facebook and YouTube will bear the name Med C Music.

The development comes at a time when the artist, born Medson Kapeni, has released his first single under the management titled Uvinanso which he has collaborated with Nigerian producer Del B.

In the song, the young artist has found himself standing between his preferred dancehall beat and the Nigerian Afro-pop beat owing to the presence of Del B on the song apparently. All the same it is a song with a good danceable beat and club feel to it.

Anandifunsa Med pano zili pati/ ndamenya hit song pano ili m’chart. Ndangoyambapo pano sindinati/ Sindinathe apa tiyeni tilowe mkati. Anandifunsa when will you release the album? Ndawayankha sindimaphweketsa ding dong…goes part of the song.

According to a press release, signed by Magic Fingers management team, the single will be followed by the release of Med C’s latest song Complaining which has been redone by producer Shizzi and the video has been directed by Vinny Visuals.
