Malawian designers invited to Zambia fashion week

It seems Malawian fashion has finally made it on the world map after hosting the first Malawi Fashion Week a few weeks ago.

Now Malawian designers and models have been invited to attend Zambia Fashion Week courtesy of Malawi Fashion Week.

In a notice published on the Malawi Fashion Week Facebook Page, designers are being called for a showcase in Lilongwe which will also pick representatives for the Zambia Fashion Week.

“Are you a Malawian designer who is interested to participate in the next Malawi Fashion Week event? Well, now is the time!! Malawi Fashion Week is at it again! On August 30th, we will have designers showcase in Malawi Fashion Week Top Designer Competition.

“All designers are welcome to apply at www.malawifashionweek.net in order to participate. Registration fee is K35 000. The top three designers will showcase at Zambia Fashion Week for free! We will have an international judge panel as well as Malawian judges!” reads the message.

Designers have already started to show interest one of them being Sandra Songa who also showcased at Malawi Fashion Week.

“Will do it again and again,” said the fashion designer on Facebook.
