Mau K launches Sunday

All Blantyre gospel roads will lead to Comesa Hall on Sunday, as gospel artist Mau K launches his debut album, Ukhale Tcheru.

With 5 Star entertainment pooling together artists from the gospel spectrum for the launch, Mau K—real name Maulidi Kumbalika—says he brings messages heralding the end of times.

“That is why I am calling on one and all to be ready. The message is clear that Christ will return like a thief, only those who are clean will be with him in His kingdom,” said Mau K.

Recorded at D Shon Records in Blantyre, the 12-track album comes on the heels of the artist’s other albums which were nipped in the bud and never saw the light of the day.

Gracing the Sunday affair will be Allan Chirwa, Patience Namadingo, Lawi, Ethel Kamwendo-Banda, Faith Mussa and Zambian gospel artist Beauty Kalua.

According to 5 Star Entertainment’s Raymond Sekeni, a Lilongwe re-launch is on the cards: “We are set for the launch this Sunday but within a month, we will take the album to Lilongwe.”
