Mselema said since 2019, the organisation introduced leadership lessons to Maula Prison inmates to help them bring positive impact.

“We teach leadership training on Thursdays and some of the ex-convicts who underwent the training are bringing positive impact in society. Some have become clergymen and civil society leaders,” he said.

Maula Prison chaplain Maxwell Kagame welcomed the donation, saying it will alleviate some challenges that inmates face.

“Finding basic necessities like these around the premises is not easy as such we rely on donations from well-wishers to help sustain their welfare,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of Strategic Leadership Training Programme trainees, Tamanda Mizula hailed the donation, saying it will improve their living condition.

Mizula thanked Impact Reach for the weekly lesson, saying it is steadily transforming their lives. Over 75 inmates have benefitted from the training since inception.
