 Mcees to hone public speaking skills

 Two r event hosts Chris Loka and Ruth Kulaisi are set to lead a public speaker’s forum scheduled for tomorrow at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.

The conveners of the forum say the event aims at sharing public hosting tips and event hosting etiquette to empower practitioners with essential tools and techniques for effective communication and event management.

Kulaisi: Public speaking is also about how you look.

Speaking in an interview on Thursday, Loka said the forum, which is for free.

He said: “We are targeting aspiring speakers, event planners, business professionals and anyone willing to improve their communication skills. Some topics will include, fundamentals of effective public speaking, techniques for engaging your audience, strategies for planning and executing events.”

Loka said the forum provides a unique opportunity for aspiring mcees to learn from experienced speakers, network with like-minded individuals, engage in live speech analysis and refined presentation techniques.

On her part, Kulaisi said they expect to have insightful sessions, real-time case studies and practical takeaways that will boost the confidence of the participants and their effectiveness as public speakers.

She said: “Whether you are an aspiring public speaker, a professional looking to enhance your communication skills, or an event host seeking to perfect audience engagement, this workshop promises an enriching and transformative experience.

“We believe that public speaking is not only standing in front of people and open your mouth but there are so many elements of it that ranging from how you look, your audience and message delivery.”
