The final round of auditions for Miss Blantyre beauty pageant take place this Saturday at the Blantyre City Council (BCC) Auditorium.
According to organising chairperson Daniel Ngwira, the final auditions will give an opportunity to inspiring models to take part in this year’s beauty pageant.
“The major ice on the cake this week will also be a professional photo shoot that will last the whole day at the BCC premises where all aspiring models and any other Blantyre model interested have been given an open call,” said Ngwira.
Girls over 18 years of age, with an Malawi Schools Certificate Examinations (MCSE) certificate or equivalent qualify for the auditions.
The current Miss Blantyre Nerani Nthara, a student at The Polytechnic, has also reiterated the need for girls in Blantyre to come in large numbers, saying this year’s organisation of the pageant is keen to set high standards to restore the pride and sanity in the industry.
BizMalawi, Class Yanga, Wow Designs Africa and HafHat Media have since joined the pack to support Miss Blantyre.
The Miss Blantyre main event takes place on October 30 at the College of Medicine Sports Complex Hall
