Moyale give Silver greenlight to sign Muyaba

Moyale Barracks have given Silver Strikers FC the greenlight to sign their former striker Khuda Muyaba who was fired as a soldier by Malawi Defence Force (MDF).

Muyaba was fired by the MDF on disciplinary grounds and Moyale have released him as a free agent.

Part of the clearance letter dated June 7 2018 addressed to the Bankers which the Weekend Nation has seen, reads:  “We would like to respond to your request for a letter of clearance regarding Muyaba. The player is cleared with us with effect  from June 5 2018 as free a agent.

“Therefore, you are granted authority to use the player.”

Confirming on the development, Moyale Barracks general secretary (GS) Captain Isaac Banda said they thought it wise to clear the player so that he should continue with his football career.

“He was fired as a soldier, so we felt it is was only fair to clear him so that he should continue with his career with Silver Strikers. We have no problem with that, “he said.

But on his part, Silver GS Thabo Chakaka Nyirenda said they were yet to receive the clearance letter.

“Indeed the player has been training with us. However, I cannot comment much on the development because am yet to receive the clearance letter from Moyale,” he said.

Muyaba and Football Association of Malawi (FAM) transfer matching system manager Casper Jangale could not be reached for comment.
