Member of Parliament for Mzimba South West, Raymond Nkhata on Tuesday asked his fellow lawmakers to be united for the country’s economy to recover.

“We need to be united and support government to achieve a better Malawi, but for this to be achieved it has to start with us,” Nkhata said.

He also expressed hope that President Joyce Banda’s bold decision to devalue and float the kwacha would sustain the economy in future.

Nkhata applauded the President for what he said quality leadership style that has managed to bring back international donor support.

The MP also asked people from his constituency to work hard in the field as the country’s economy depends on agriculture.
