Outspoken light welter-weight boxer Nginjale ‘Tough Ben’ Chitenje Wilson ‘Shasha’ Masamba in a farewell fight tttttttton July 5 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Nginjale, 33, said he will dedicate the fight to his fans as a token of appreciation for their support throughout his career.

He said he has organised the K1 million bout with support from Proto Feeds.

Masamba is currently outside the country on military duty and is expected back mid this month from Ivory Coast.

“As you are aware that I am no longer in the ring, currently I am busy with my truck driving job.But I feel just quitting the ring in silence will sound unfair to my fans. That is why I have organised this bout to bid farewell to my fans,” said Nginjale at his training base in Bangwe Township.

He said there will be other supporting bouts.

“It will be an exciting bout; we have included other three bouts. There will be title fight between further weights Jobson Adams against Aubrey Masamba. Bantam weights John Masamba will fight with Boniface Sitenala while Mallan Kayuni will battle with Nkhakamira Banda,” said Nginjale.

Veteran boxer Ali Faki, who is also training with Nginjale, said the fight will be exceptional saying although Nginjale has stayed for a certain period without bout he is currently picking up well.

“People should expect a big fight, Chitenje is picking up.

“At first he was very slow in punching, but now he has resurrected, he has increased in punching speed. I am sure if he will utilise what he is demonstrating, he will carry the day,” said Faki.

Sponsors of the bout Proto Feeds Malawi Limited said they have decided to pump in I million kwacha towards boxing this time as a way of thanking their customers in the country.

“As you are aware that most companies like to sponsor football. We thought we should do something different by sponsoring boxing to entertain our customers who love this sports activity,” said Enock Kamangaroto Feeds technical manager in an interview.
