Nkhoma Synod has new executive

Nkhoma CCAP Synod has a new executive following elections that took place on Thursday.

The development comes barely four days after the Blantyre CCAP Synod conducted its polls where the Reverend Robson Chimkwenzule was elected moderator replacing the Reverend Mercy Chilapula whose term of office expired.

During the Nkhoma Synod elections in Lilongwe, Reverend Dr. Chatha Msangaambe replaced the Reverend Vasco Kachipapa, who is now the new general secretary, replacing Reverend Davidson Chifungo.

Reverend Brian Kamwendo has maintained his post as senior clerk of the synod and is being deputised by the Reverend Zembeni whereas the Reverend Nyanda was elected vice-moderator.

Kamwendo said in an interview the positions are effective August 29 2013.

“Mfotokozi Malamulo post has gone to Reverend Willy Zeze and we have two synod elders who are evangelists Enock Phiri and Nephtali Damalankhunda,” he added.
