Nighty Wanderers have fired two key players, midfield workhorse Nafe Msasa and striker Anthony Banda for what they described as gross indiscipline.

The Nomads are also reported to have cautioned a number of players.

This is the second time that Msasa has been kicked out of the Nomads camp.

The club’s general secretary David Kanyenda confirmed the development yesterday, but could not be drawn to give out the actual details pertaining to the crimes that the duo committed.

“Discipline is the cornerstone of success in every profession. Players who demonstrate immoral behaviour will be uprooted from the team.

“Some players think they are ‘Mr. Wanderers’ and with such a rotten attitude, the team cannot perform well. So, I can confirm that we have fired Nafe and Anthony. We have also strongly cautioned others,” said Kanyenda.

None of the two players could be reached for comment on Wednesday.

Msasa was one of the longest members of the Nomads’ playing squad.
