NPC strengthens workers bond amid Mw2063 agenda push
The National Planning Commission (NPC) is reinforcing its internal relationships as part of its efforts to drive the successful implementation of Malawi’s long-term development plan, Malawi 2063 (Mw2063).
On Thursday, NPC staff gathered at Peak Gardens in Lilongwe for a team-building workshop under the theme “Navigating New Horizons Together.”

This event was organised by Sycamore Consult Limited and aimed at boosting staff morale, enhancing collaboration and deepening relationships within the organisation.
Sycamore managing director Audrey Mwala emphasised the importance of fostering unity among NPC staff.
She stressed that strong internal relationships are essential for the effective realization of the MW2063 agenda.
“When staff members are united and believe in the vision of MW2063, it sets a powerful example for the rest of the country,” said Mwala.
“This internal commitment forms the bedrock upon which we can build public support for the development blueprint.”
The MW2063 vision, which aims to transform Malawi into an inclusive, wealthy, and self-reliant industrialised nation by 2063, relies heavily on a collective effort.
NPC’s director of knowledge and learning, Joseph Nagoli reinforced this point, noting that while strengthening relationships within the Commission is crucial.
“For the vision to succeed, it cannot be just the NPC pushing it forward. Every Malawian has a role to play,” said Nagoli.
“When we talk about inclusive wealth creation and self-reliance, it’s about all of us taking ownership, not just a select few.”
