One die, 17 injured in Lilongwe accident

One person has died while 17 others have been admitted to Kamuzu Central Hospital after a minibus they were travelling in collided with a lorry in Lilongwe on Wednesday afternoon.

Lilongwe Police spokesperson Kingsley Dandaula confirmed the accident, saying the driver of the minibus, a Toyota Hiace registration BLK 2182, has been detained for investigations into his role in the accident.—FATSANI GUNYA, Staff Reporter
