President of Providence Industrial Missions (PIM) Reverend Patrick Makondetsa has described his church as historic through the rise and fall of liberation hero the Reverend John Chilembwe.

Makondetsa said this last Sunday during the closing of a week-long annual convention under the theme: “Arise and Build.”

The convention drew members from Zambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Malawi among other neighbouring countries. It aimed at looking at the future with hope and salvation.

“We had a successful and fruitful convention because apart from reports, we had time to discuss education and evangelism,” said Makondetsa.

Makondetsa said this was not the time for people to worship their masters, but God, who is able to deliver them from their problems.
