The pre-sale of entry tickets for Wednesday’s crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier between the Flames and Namibia’s Brave Warriors started in earnest in Blantyre on Saturday.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) commercial manager Casper Jangale on Saturday assured that unlike last week’s international friendly match against Zimbabwe’s Warriors in which there were hitches in the process, this time everything is in order.

“We learnt our lessons from last week’s exercise and we would like to give an assurance that this time around, there will be no hitches.

“All the logistics are in place and tickets will be sold at selected places in various locations,” said Jangale.

He said the tickets are available at FAM offices in Chiwembe; Kamuzu Stadium; Blantyre Youth Centre (BYC); Into Sport shop [Chichiri Shopping Mall]; Mkango Lodge [near Kameza Round-About]; Ndirande [Thompex Hardware]; Chilobwe [Mtonga B Shop]; Nancholi Filling Station and Zingwangwa [Chowe Village]; Bangwe Mvula [Banja Grocery]; Blantyre Market [Shop Number 3]; Limbe Market [Home of Kits Shop] and Chilomoni Metro.

“In most of the locations, there are tickets for open stands, but there are selected places such as Kamuzu Stadium, FAM offices, BYC and Into Sport Shop where there are variety of tickets for all stands,” said Jangale.

He also stressed that the tickets will be sold for a period of four days up to Tuesday and no tickets will be sold on the actual day of the game..

“We will be very strict and we’ll not extend the period of tickets pre-sale. In addition, we urge people to take advantage of the four days that have been made available to purchase the tickets to avoid any hitches,” said Jangale.

He said the charges are Open Stands: K1 000 ($2.50), MBC Stand K2 500 (about $6.25), Covered Stand: K5 000 (about $12.50) and VIP: K10 000 (about $25).

Jangale also said the first group of the visiting Brave Warriors arrived Saturday while the rest are expected to jet in on Monday.
