Management at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre says public awareness meetings to help people understand the role of palliative care are vital.
This follows the Palliative Care Day the hospital observed last month. During the day, a number of health experts bemoaned the lack of human resource to enable it provide quality care.
Hospital administrator Andrew Gonani said the facility would partner various players so as to offer quality services. “We will continue to offer quality care that included counselling on palliative care,” said Gonani.
