Saint, Pop Young to headline Cha-Cha’s All White Party

Urban musicians Saint and Pop Young are set to headline socialite Cha-Cha’s All White Party scheduled for December 23 at Epic Exclusive Club in Lilongwe.

The party is a brainchild of socialite and entrepreneur Chawezi Banda, popularly known as Cha Cha. Organisers say the event is a pre-Christmas gift to all  entertainment lovers in Malawi.

In an interview, Cha Cha’s manager Chris Loka said they have intensified their preparations in a quest to deliver an event that people have not experienced in a long time.

He said Cha Cha, who is based in the United States of America, arrived last week.

“We are in a season where we need to share love and togetherness. This party will provide an ideal platform for people to connect, share ideas and above all have fun. All people who know how to have fun should join us at Epic Exclusive Club,” said Loka.

On her part, Cha Cha said: “Nowadays, we have issues of depression which are affecting a lot of people. We need to create spaces where people can let off steam and just enjoy the goodies that life has to offer. I believe this will be the right platform just to refresh and enjoy the music.”

In a separate interview yesterday, Saint said it is a privilege to perform at a high-profile event. He said such platforms give artists the chance to network and open up new opportunities.

He said: “It is an event that I am looking forward to and I know I have to give it my all. I am excited that the organisers picked me to be part of this event. I am getting ready and I am looking forward to sharing a good musical experience with my fans and all who will be present.”

Apart from Saint and Pop Young, the event will also be spiced up by a performance from Elshadai. Attendance to the party’s VIP section is strictly by invitation while the other section will attract a K5 000 fee.
