On her part, United Nations (UN) Digital finance specialist Jessica Lee Masaie said the training was designed to promote resilience after the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Given that you are part of the digital world today and still operating in a world of cash, you are able to move quickly and communicate with your clients and track transactions that you make,” she said.

A participant Madalitso Mwapasa from Lumbadzi said the training will help her how to move her financial transactions to digital platforms to avoid the risks associated with handling hard cash.

“We will utilise these digital skills to ensure that our businesses grow and also minimise the risks that come along when one is using manual transactions to do business,” she said.
