Coached by Ernest Mtawali, the Junior Flames regrouped on Tuesday in Blantyre following the call up of 25 players for the penultimate round of the Senegal Africa Youth Championship finals.

Zambia website Zamfoot.com reported on Tuesday that the Young Chipolopolo coach Hector Chilombo unveiled a 25-member provisional squad for the Malawi trip.

According to Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) spokesperson Nkweto Tembwe, Chilombo has kept faith in most of the players that were instrumental as Zambia progressed from the previous round.

Some of the notables in the Zambia Under-20 squad are captain Lubambo Musonda, keeper Mangani Banda, midfielder Larry Bwalya, winger Spencer Sautu and striker Davy Daka.

Malawi, fired up by the likes of Khumbo Ng’ambi and Chawanangwa Kawonga, eliminated the Democratic Republic of Congo in the second round whereas Zambia reached the final round after eliminating Mozambique.
