Zambian gospel singer Ephraim jets in for mega concert

Zambian gospel artist, Ephraim, arrived in Malawi on Wednesday through Kamuzu International Airport, promising a grand performance when he headlines a mega gospel concert at the Bingu International Convention Centre (Bicc) this evening.

In an interview, the artist said his fans should expect a good time as they will be ushered into praise and worship mood at the event in line with Easter.

“I know that God is about to do a great thing for the people of Malawi. I am happy and privileged to be part of this event. It has been eight years since I last came here. Since then, I have three albums. In my new album, there are some songs in Chinyanja and I have heard that Malawians enjoy and like my music,” said the Zambian artist, full name Ephraim Sekeleti Mutalange.

He then went straight to do rehearsals backed by Rolling Sounds Band.

Ephraim will be supported by Joshua Generations Band, The Great Angels Choir and The Mighty P.O.V.

The concert, apart from being celebrating Easter and ministering the word of God, will be used to raise money for Calvary Family Church’s 25 years’ anniversary.

Pastor Dingi Jere, organising chairperson for the concert, said they felt privileged to have Ephraim headline their concert.

“It is great to have him here to perform live. He is a great artist with a lot of following not only in Malawi but within a great part of Africa.”
