Zambian music group Organised Family, aka Orga Family, is no strangeR to Malawians and the trio has affirmed its love for the Warm Heart of Africa by releasing a tourism promotion song titled Takulandirani.

The trio, comprising Singoyi siblings Orga Kent, Orga Rex and Orga Lucido, has often referred to Malawi as their second home.

They have taken this affection to another level through the release of a song touting Malawi as the desired tourism destination using the official tourism theme ‘Takulandirani’.

Minister of Tourism Vera Kamtukule was pleasantly surprised with the composition and has since reached out to the duo on the prospect of producing a music video for the song which she said she will personally feature in.

When the group shared the song on their Facebook page, the minister commented: “Organised Family, let us do a music video in which I shall personally feature. Well done. This is brilliant. I love it.”

In a separate interview yesterday, the minister said it is humbling that people are able to appreciate Malawi’s tourism product and even promote it to the world.

“That they can help us market destination Malawi is a plus for us. We will, thus, leverage on this platform so we could reach out to those who have heard about us. Arts and music are a tourism tool,” she said.

Kamtukule said they have made primary correspondence with the trio and she would meet them soon to work on the modalities of the music video.

Organised Family said tourism is one of their biggest passions because of its closeness to arts and culture.

“The reason we love Malawi so much is that they supported first even before Zambians knew us,” the group said.

The group’s local manager Wendy Harawa said they appreciates the Malawian fan base hence the song, adding that the group consider Malawi as home.
