Zeze Kingston, FadaMoti clash ‘averted’
The highly-hyped clash between two of the country’s top amapiano music stars Zeze Kingston and Fada Moti has been postponed at the eleveth hour.
The two stars were expected to face off tomorrow at Waka Waka in Lilongwe in a show organised by the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) as part of the celebrations for the migration of MBC 2 On The Go to the digital satellite television (DStv) platform.

However, in a sudden twist, MBC yesterday announced the postponement to a date to be announced later.
Speaking in an interview yesterday, MBC public relations officer Alice Moyo said the show will await for the finalisation of the deal between MBC and DStv .
“The show has been put on hold. We want it to be a proper celebration of this milestone. We will await the completion of the agreement. We will hold a press conference to announce the formal agreement,” she said.
The show would have been the first big event this year and would have brought on one stage two artists of similar style whose relationship has purportedly not been rosy, as far social media talk is concerned.
But in separate interviews yesterday, the two artists played down talk that there is bad blood between them.
Zeze Kingston said he is always surprised with assertions that they do not get along.
He said: “Me and Fada Moti are cool as ever. He is like my little brother. People should not read too much into the fact that we have not done a song together. There is no rift between us and we were looking forward to it.”
On his part, Fada Moti, sounding cool, refused to be dragged in the speculation as he said it lacked real basis.
“The show has been postponed and there is no need to say much now. Until the new dates are announced then we can talk about that. I am not saying anything outside that,” he said.
