Zigoma optimistic over his health

Embattled Gospel musician Geoffrey Zigoma says it is just a matter of time before he makes a full return to public performance, claiming his health is nearing perfection.

The 35-year-old has recently been seen at various gospel shows in Lilongwe where he has since relocated from Blantyre.

In an interview on Wednesday this week, Zigoma confirmed his health is improving for the better.

“I have been feeling much better since I returned from India [where he was operated on] last December. Actually, I am finalising my next album which I should be launching this June end,” he said.

The upcoming album, Wandichiritsa Yesu, is said to be his testimony.

Ndathera mwa Yesu, Network ya Yesu, Amandikonda and A Petulo are some of the pieces in the release.

He, however, accused some individuals and organisations of wanting to cash in on his predicament.

“These include fellow musicians with unscrupulous behaviour. They rushed placing press releases pretending they would help me out when they didn’t. This prevented other well-wishers who would have ably donated to the cause. This somehow delayed my treatment,” Zigoma lamented.

The star, whose secular piece Zimakoma Chonchi probably first propelled him to fame in 2 000, joined the gospel music industry recently some four years ago.
