The 2009 memories of when she last performed on stage are still flesh to fans who love Thoko Suya’s music.

And on Sunday, fans gathered at Robin’s Park in Blantyre to witness the CD and DVD launch of Suya’s third album Adzandinyamula.thoko-suya1

Of course, not a lot of people attended the show, but the few who did showed great support as they sang along to some songs in the new album.

At 3.30pm, Suya made her way to the stage while singing Mtsinje Wochiza

The signature song set the hall on fire and instantly changed the mood.

Mtsinje Wochiza is a praise and worship song that set the perfect mood for worship.

Little wonder some patrons shed tears while going through the lyrics.

The song talks of the place of refuge where those who are afflicted will be saved. The only missing voice during the song was that of Apostle Enesia Chitheka, who backed the song.

With her deep voice, Chitheka was indeed missed by fans who wanted to see her performing after a long time, but she was unavailable even though she had been advertised as one of the performers.

Another song that moved patrons was Zidzakhala Bwino,in which she narrates her story of how she spent several months in hospital.

“Others have been asking difference questions, but I want to tell you that God has been good to me. I have been in the hospital for months due to a brain swelling and I also had fluids in the lungs. This condition made me to be silent since 2009 up until now,” she said.

“I couldn’t walk or sing. God is my everything; He made me a living testimony. Today I am here to tell you that God is everything you want, have Him and you shall not regret,” she preached.

Speaking about the launch, Suya said it was a great moment to interact with her fans after a long time.

“All I see is God. He told me while in the hospital that He will give me a second chance and I will sing for Him again. So what I see is Him fulfilling what He told me,” she said.
