Felicia to dress Miss Malawi Ireland
Budding designer Felicia Ngoma, will dress the winner of Miss Malawi Ireland scheduled to take place over the weekend.
The second edition of Miss Malawi Ireland takes place at the Maldron Hotel, Tallaght in Dublin on Saturday night.
Ngoma, who is yet to launch her Nyasa Brands clothing line, will dress the winner of the night as well as her two princesses.
“I have designed three captivating pieces for the top three winners of the Miss Malawi Ireland. After the judges announcement of the top three, these people, before being crowned will wear my designs.
“I have done it for free just to sell what I do to the Malawian community in Ireland which I understand continues to grow. As I am working on expanding, people need to appreciate first before thinking of buying anything,” Felicia said in an interview.
She says her clothing line has grown to other parts of the world like South Africa, UK and now Ireland as a lot of people continue buying her creations.
The crowning of the new beauty queen will be spiced up by a performance by Malawi’s popular reggae band, Black Missionaries commonly referred to as Ma Blacks. The band will also hold another show on August 23.
Tina Maunde is the reigning Miss Malawi Ireland.
