FAM announces Carlsberg Cup gate charges

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced gate charges for the Carlsberg Cup round of 16 matches to be played at the weekend.

According to FAM competitions officer Gomezgani Zakazaka, fans will pay K500 (about $1.25) in the open stands to catch the action between struggling giants Big Bullets and Silver Strikers slated for Kamuzu Stadium this Saturday.

Charges for VIP and Covered Stands have been pegged at K2 000 while a seat at MBC Stand will cost K1 000 (about $2.50).

“The games have different gate charges depending on the magnitude,” said Zakazaka.

In the match between Red Lions and Mighty Wanderers slated for Zomba Community Centre ground on Sunday, charges will be K500 for open stands and K1 000 for covered stands.

The match between Azam Tigers and Mafco slated for Sunday at Kamuzu Stadium has been pegged at K1 000 for covered stands and VIP and K200 for open stands.

The other match is between Evirom and Bvumbwe Research that will be played at the same venue on Friday and charges are K100 for open stands and K500 for VIP and covered stands.

Kabwafu take on Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday and charges are K200 for open stands and K1 000 for covered stand. And the Mponela United versus Mzuni match to be played at Silver Stadium has been pegged at K100 for open stands and K500 for covered stands.
