Big Bullets’ suspended chief supporter Isaac Osman has justified his re-appearance at the Kamuzu Stadium and other football-related functions.

Osman joined the celebration party, hoisting the 2014 Carlsberg Cup trophy right at the Kamuzu Stadium VIP after the Bullets’ 2-0 win over Zomba United on Sunday afternoon.

He also witnessed the 2014 Standard Bank Knock-Out Trophy draw in Blantyre and the Flames match against Benin at the Kamuzu Stadium last week.

“I did not watch the actual game at the stadium. I followed proceedings on television from the Sports Council and only came after the final whistle. Before entry, I even sought permission of FAM officials,” said Osman.

“Sulom did not call me for a hearing as an individual, let alone share their judgement. I did not fight, but rather intervened to cool down supporters when Austin Kasito was being beaten up by the police,” Osman explained.

Sulom general secretary Williams Banda on Monday said the suspension of Osman was strictly for the league and that he is abiding by it.

FAM chief executive officer Suzgo Nyirenda and competitions officer Gomezgani Zakazaka had not yet responded to The Nation’s e-mailed and texted questions as we went to press yesterday. Bullets general secretary Harold Fote had also not responded when going to print.
