FCB injects K20 millioninto Presidential Golf

First Capital Bank has donated MK20,000,000 to the presidential Golf Tournament. The funds raised from the tournament are used to support students in higher education learning institutions and to rebuild Malawi from the effects of Cyclone Freddy.

FCB Head of Marketing & Communications Mr Twikale Chirwa said the bank felt duty-bound to complement the government’s efforts in education, health and sports and these are the banks key focus areas for corporate social responsibility.

The Presidential Golf Championship is expected to tee off today at Country Club Limbe in Blantyre.

Last year’s edition raised about K480 million but, according to the Presidential Golf committee’s chairperson Boyd Luwe, they upped the target for this year to K600 million to ensure more needy students are supported.
